For more than 45 years, Mathematica Policy Research has been providing high quality and objective research and data collection services to public and private sector decision makers with the goal of improving public well-being in areas such as education, disability, health care and nutrition. We are currently looking for staff to join our survey operations team in our Tucson office. We have a number of data collection job opportunities working on an important research study about families sponsored by Department of Health and Human Services.
The Early Head Start Family and Child Experiences Survey (Baby FACES) Study has been developed to provide rich information about how Early Head Start programs promote the development of infants and toddlers.
As a Research Project Assistant you will conduct research interviews and provide assistance with other survey related tasks. The majority of your day will be spent making interview calls. You will utilize a Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) system as you make your calls, read your assigned call scripts verbatim to ensure study consistency, and enter your responses into the system.

•High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
•1- 2 years of prior customer service, call center, research, or interviewing experience preferred
•Strong communication skills
•Excellent computer skills—MS Office Suite and database experience preferred
•Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
Candidates must be available to work minimum 24 hours per week during evening and weekends. All staff will need to be available for a shift on Saturdays or Sundays. Shifts will generally be 4 or 8 hours in duration. Working hours include 2 PM – 10 PM weekdays, 9 AM – 5 PM on Saturdays, and 10 AM – 6 PM on Sundays. In addition, candidates must be available to attend a 4 day paid training session.
