IT Business Relationship Manager (HR) (Remote Eligible)

The IT Business Relationship Manager (HR) will serve as a partner between the Information Technology department and the Human Resources function. The primary responsibility will be building strong relationships with key HR stakeholders, understanding their business needs, and aligning and delivering IT solutions to support and enhance HR processes and initiatives. Working from Princeton, NJ, Washington, DC, or remote, this person will play a pivotal role in driving the successful integration of technology within the HR domain and contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of HR operations serving as the primary point of contact for all IT-related matters with HR stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with HR leaders and stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of their vision, objectives, challenges, and operational processes.
  • Proactively identify opportunities where IT can support HR functions, add value, improve efficiencies, and effectively contribute to the achievement of business objectives by addressing and prioritizing their technology needs.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership to align the HR tech strategy with overall IT and business objectives to improve HR processes, employee experiences, and data management.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to identify opportunities for IT innovation and alignment with HR strategies.
  • Maintain expertise in the Human Resources application landscape to help us utilize our current investments to the fullest as well as understand when to recommend new solutions.
  • Work closely with HR stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document IT requirements related to HR processes and projects.
  • Translate HR needs into a clear and actionable business requirements document, considering technical feasibility and resource constraints ensuring all parties have a common understanding of the project scope and objectives.
  • Translate requirements into specifications that can be deployed by the administrator of the systems or passed on to development/reporting teams.
  • Oversee the end-to-end project lifecycle, of IT projects related to HR, from initiation to implementation, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional IT teams, vendors, and HR professionals to drive project execution and seamless integration of new technologies.
  • Manage the HR IT portfolio, working with HR to evaluate and assign business impact and strategic alignment for providing prioritization.
  • Collaborate with HR and IT teams to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance for HR systems and applications.
  • Leverage HR system data and analytics to provide insights for HR system decision-making.
  • Champion change management efforts related to HR IT projects, ensuring smooth adoption and user engagement.
  • Partner with internal subject matter experts in Learning and Development, Change Management and Communications to develop and deliver training programs and communication materials to support technology adoption by HR professionals and employees.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for HR technology solutions, providing regular updates to HR and IT leadership on performance and outcomes.
  • Continuously seek feedback from stakeholders and implement improvement measures to enhance IT service delivery.
  • Actively support the advancement of organizational diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, and apply diversity, equity, and inclusion lens across job responsibilities.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of proven experience as an IT Business Partner, or similar role.
  • Solid understanding of HR processes, functions, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of data privacy and security regulations related to HR data management.
  • Familiarity with HR technology solutions and trends, such as ERP, AI, talent and performance management, talent acquisition, resource management, and compensation.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build rapport with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of IT best practices, including ITIL and Agile methodologies.
  • Intermediate level skills in SQL database, and system interactivity.
  • Ability to analyze complex business problems and recommend appropriate technology solutions.
  • Ability to think strategically and proactively identify opportunities for technology-driven innovation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying potential issues and providing solutions.

Preferred experience (not required):

  • Managing the art and intersection of User experience (UX) and change management.
  • Intermediate knowledge and hands on experience with reporting platforms such as QlikView, Qlik Sense, Tableau, SSRS and Cognos.
  • Experience in professional services models.
  • Experience with SaaS environments and configuration.
  • Knowledge of Atlassian suite (Confluence, Jira).
  • Experience with a government contractor and working knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors (HR Central) is preferred but not required.
  • Digital transformation and AI experience also preferred.

This position offers an anticipated annual base salary range of $90,000 - $125,000. This position may be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance. To apply, please submit a cover letter, resume, location preference, and salary expectations.
